Tasting notes

This is an elegant organic Shiraz offering lovely notes of ripe pepper aromas.  Aged in French & American oak, this medium to full bodied Shiraz is rich on the palate leaving a tight tannin structure. Suitable for vegans.

Vintage

The 2010/2011 Grape growing season was one of the hardest to date.  Heavy rain pre harvest meant that extra care was taken to ensure maximum quality of the vineyard.  With our organic management practices our grapes were unaffected by the heavy rain and had no disease present.  This wine is a great representation of how organic farming can produce a wine of high quality and fresh fruit flavours.

Serving Suggestions

Grilled lamb, beef stew, spicy sauces, roast duck with plum sauce.

Deep purple-crimson; how much of the depth of colour and flavour is due to certified organic vineyards and how much to sophisticated winemaking,  I simply don’t know; the wine is full-bodied, with black fruits on the palate, it’s Achilles heel the relatively short finish. A great horse so don’t look it in the mouth. - (88 Points) James Halliday
