Single Vineyard Margaret River Shiraz 2018 - 6 x 750ml
Nice opportunity to compare consecutive vintages here. Personally, this is the pick of the pair for me but no doubt, others may feel differently. There are similar earth and clove notes to the 2017, along with black olives. Then we see notes of cassis, mulberries, blackberries, aniseed and cherries. Also, near black in colour. There is oak evident here, but it is well handled. The palate sees more chocolate and mocha notes to the fore. A wine with good focus and good length, it is nicely balanced, and certainly impresses. Enjoy this for at least the next ten to twelve years. 94.
